The Daily Reporter, which has served as Franklin County’s daily law journal since 1896 will be closing after their December 12, 2025 issue. All future legal notices required to be placed in a “newspaper of general circulation” pursuant to the Ohio Revised Code and applicable rules of procedure will now be published in the Columbus Dispatch. Rates for service by publication in each Court will be adjusted on or around December 12, 2025 to meet the increased cost due to this unforeseen change. Additionally, please note that the publication of court schedules, complaints, judgments, and other information as required pursuant to Ohio Revised Code section 2701.09 will no longer occur, as there will no longer be a law journal in Franklin County as outlined by this code section.
