Attention, Ohio Judges, Magistrates, and Attorneys:

Due to ongoing concerns surrounding the COVID-19 virus, the Commission on Continuing Legal Education has recommended and the Supreme Court of Ohio has waived the self-study caps for judges, magistrates, and attorneys to complete the CLE requirements for the 2021-22 compliance period ending December 31, 2022.

Accordingly, attorneys and judges with the last names beginning with M-Z may complete all CLE requirements through approved self-study courses, including live interactive webinars, for the compliance period ending December 31, 2022. The self-study cap has also been waived for judges, magistrates, and attorneys with last names beginning with A through L for the 2020-2021 compliance period ending December 31, 2021.

A list of approved self-study courses and live interactive webinars can be found on the Columbus Bar Association website. Please note pursuant to Reg. 409.1 (B) only sponsors may apply for accreditation of self-study courses. Attorneys, magistrates, and judges may not apply for accreditation for self-study courses on their own behalf.

If you have any questions regarding your CLE requirements, please contact the Ohio Supreme Court Office of Attorney Services at ccle@sc.ohio.gov or at (614) 387-9320, Monday through Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm.
