The Columbus Bar Foundation believes a stronger community begins with access to justice, education, and opportunity. Through the generosity of the legal community and its supporters, the Foundation helps turn that belief into action.
Its grantmaking supports organizations that help individuals understand their legal rights, connect with needed assistance, build leadership skills, and access resources that promote stability and well-being. This work extends beyond the courtroom, strengthening the connections between the legal profession and the community it serves.
A Record Year of Giving. A Lasting Community Impact.
In FY2025, the Columbus Bar Foundation awarded more than $239,000 in grants — the largest annual grant total in its recent history.
Those grants supported organizations making a difference across Central Ohio, including Community Mediation Services, Legal Aid of Southeast & Central Ohio, the Law & Leadership Institute, Think Make Live Youth, the League of Women Voters of Metropolitan Columbus, and Catholic Social Services.
Together, these organizations address critical needs involving housing, family stability, legal and civic education, access to public resources, and community support. Their work demonstrates how investment in local organizations can help individuals and families navigate challenges while creating stronger, more informed communities.
