📣 Call for Volunteers: Lead a Practice Group or Network!

The CBA thrives because of the passion, expertise, and service of our volunteers — and we’re now inviting our leaders and members to serve as Chairs of Practice Groups and Professional Development Networks.

Practice Groups and Networks are the cornerstone of our mission to keep members informed, connected, and engaged in their areas of law and professional interests. These member-led groups:

  • Explore substantive legal topics and emerging practice trends, helping practitioners stay at the forefront of the law;
  • Foster meaningful professional connections and community;
  • Develop and deliver member-focused programming, including CLE and networking opportunities; and
  • Bring diverse voices together across practice areas and career stages.

👉 Whether you’re passionate about a specific area of law, want to help cultivate community, or eager to develop your leadership skills, serving as a Chair is a meaningful way to contribute.

Why Volunteer as a Chair?

As a Practice Group or Network Chair, you will:

  • Shape and lead group meetings and activities;
  • Collaborate with other members to plan events and educational opportunities;
  • Strengthen connections across the bar and within your practice area;
  • Serve a crucial role in strengthening our association’s volunteer-led leadership.

If you’re interested in serving as a Chair — or simply want to learn more — connect with us! Chairs play a central role in helping members grow professionally and stay plugged into the issues that matter most.
