A Message from the Practice Group Chair
Welcome to the Columbus Bar Association Family Law Practice Group.
Thank you for visiting our Practice Group page. Family law is one of the most dynamic and impactful areas of legal practice. The work we do affects individuals and families during some of the most significant moments of their lives, requiring not only legal knowledge but also professionalism, empathy, and sound judgment.
Our Practice Group is committed to fostering collaboration, continuing legal education, and the exchange of practical ideas among attorneys practicing in domestic relations. Throughout the year, we host presentations featuring experienced family law practitioners, judges, magistrates, mental health professionals, financial experts, and other professionals whose work intersects with family law. Topics include divorce, custody and parenting issues, child and spousal support, property division, domestic violence, ethical considerations, trial practice, emerging legal trends, and other developments affecting our practice.
Whether you are new to family law or have practiced for decades, we hope this group serves as a valuable resource for learning, networking, and sharing ideas with colleagues. We encourage you to attend our meetings, participate in discussions, and help us continue building a strong and supportive family law community.
