Columbus Bar members overwhelmingly prefer to continue using Zoom to attend committee meetings and short CLE programs. But you also miss opportunities for in-person networking and social events. We’ll give you both!
We will be following all City of Columbus mandates in regard to COVID-19. Have a safe and happy holiday and we'll see you in 2022!
COMMITTEES:
We will continue hosting committee meetings via Zoom.
Committee attendance significantly increased during the pandemic, as members found it more convenient to participate. Meetings will also be recorded and posted on our website.
Some committees will plan in-person social events.
Watch your committee listservs for the latest info on committee meetings and events, including our Young Lawyer Networking Breakfasts on January 13, March 3 and May 5; wine and paint events; happy hours and more.
CLE:
CLE courses of 1.5 hours or shorter will continue to be hosted on Zoom as live interactive webinars.
Most longer programs will be available on Zoom AND in-person for those of you who wish to participate at the CBA offices. Please note that the Supreme Court has lifted the self-study CLE cap through 2022, so all your CLE can be completed online if you wish.
SOCIAL EVENTS:
We’ll be offering more in-person social events.
You said you wanted to get back together, and we can't wait to see you again in-person! Committees & Cocktails, our monthly networking event, returns on Wednesday, January 26 and is free for CBA members. Watch the CBA website for more events in the works, including Bar-wide networking breakfasts, Blue Jackets and Clippers events, and more.
