The Columbus Bar strives to offer the most convenient, cost-effective, relevant source of continuing legal education (CLE) seminars in central Ohio. Providing more than 400 hours of CLE programming annually, including more than 48 programs in December alone.

New Lawyer Training

The Columbus Bar is offering 12 hours of New Lawyer Training instruction between April 6 and May 23. The April 20 seminar meets the requirement for three hours of instruction in professionalism, client fund management, and law office management. All Columbus Bar NLT programs are CLE Easy Pass eligible.

Ethics, Professionalism & Substance Abuse

Several seminars are available which fulfill the bienniel requirement for Ohio attorneys to complete at least 2.5 continuing legal education credit hours in professional conduct: ethics (1.0 hour required), professionalism (1.0 hour required) and substance abuse (0.5 hour required). All are CLE Easy Pass eligible.

Practising Law Institute Live Webcasts

Practising Law Institute is a non-profit continuing legal education organization headquartered in New York City. It provides CLE Webcast seminars at locations across the United States including New York, California, Illinois, Washington DC, Georgia, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Texas, Virginia, Pennsylvania and now Columbus, Ohio through the Columbus Bar Association. Registrations are through the Practising Law Institute and the live webcasts will take place at the Columbus Bar offices. Click here for a listing of upcoming live webcasts.

Mediation Training

The Columbus Bar is co-sponsoring mediation training CLE with Community Mediation Services. These classes are all held off-site, at the CME offices (65 Jefferson Avenue) or the Thurber Center (91 Jefferson Avenue).
