Ohio’s Uniform Electronic Legal Material Act (UELMA) became effective on 9/28/2018. In adopting this Act the legislature provides a broad outline of direction and responsibility to Ohio’s official publishers of its legal materials in electronic records.
Join us to learn how the Ohio Legislative Service Commission, one of the “official publishers”, is implementing UELMA and to gather more insight on the history and process of Uniform Laws from a delegate to the Uniform Law Commission.
Presenting for us will be Megan Cummiskey, Assistant Director, Office of Research & Drafting, Ohio Legislative Service Commission and Professor Jeffrey Ferriell, Geraldine W. Howell Professor of Law, Capital University Law School, Ohio Delegate Member, Uniform Law Commission.
