Our speakers will include the most senior Juvenile Magistrate, Larry Sanchez, as well as Court officer, Aeriol Scruggs, and Empowerment Docket Case Manager, Beverly Robinson.
Larry Sanchez is a Juvenile Magistrate in Franklin County Juvenile Court. Prior to joining the bench, he was an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney involved in the Grand Jury, Juvenile Court, and Adult Divisions. He ended his tenure serving in the Gang Unit. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree from St. Peter’s University and a Juris Doctorate degree from Capital University. Magistrate Sanchez serves on the juvenile human trafficking docket, which together with Judge Gill and Magistrate Stroud was created to assist survivors of human trafficking.
Beverly Robinson is employed by Franklin County Juvenile Courts as an Empowerment Case Manager. She works closely with the Magistrates assisting with programming for juvenile human trafficking victims. Prior to joining the Court, she volunteered as a CASA guardian ad Litem with CASA of Franklin County for 3 years. She has 22 years of experience in field of social services has helped craft her gift and has given her great insight and awareness of the need to serve women and children in our communities.
Aeriol Scruggs is a Juvenile Court Officer. She has over 12 years of experience working in Juvenile Court. While most of her experience has been with Juvenile Domestic Magistrate’, she worked her way up through Juvenile Probation and Family Assessment clerical roles.
