Attorneys are encouraged to reduce client fee agreements to writing in an effort to prevent later misunderstandings and to promote good relations between the attorney and client. The terms may vary, depending on the nature of the representation. Whether an attorney and client decide on an hourly rate, a contingent fee agreement, a flat fee or some other type of payment arrangement, several versions are provided here to aid both the lawyer and client.
