Columbus Bar Interpreting Services (CBIS)

CBIS is a resource for area courts, attorneys, and other law-related agencies in need of Certified and Provisionally Qualified Court Interpreters.

CBIS was established to help the legal community comply with Supreme Court of Ohio Rule 88 which took effect January 1, 2013, and which requires that a Supreme Court of Ohio certified court interpreter be appointed whenever a party to or witness in a legal proceeding cannot readily understand or communicate because of a hearing, speech, or other impairment.

Follow the links below to schedule an interpreter, join the CBIS team as a Certified Interpreter, or find information about the Supreme Court of Ohio's Interpreter Services Program.
