New Lawyers

FREE New Lawyer Training

Attorneys admitted in 2012 and 2013 receive 12 hours of FREE New Lawyer Training with their 2013-2014 Columbus Bar membership. Join or renew today.

Like young attorneys themselves, the New Lawyers committee looks to the future. All activities and programs are designed to assist new lawyers in building successful, rewarding professional lives. The committee takes a comprehensive approach to the practice of law, helping young attorneys acquire all the tools needed to build a successful career; from the substantive knowledge and business sense expected of today's attorney to the sprawling networks, strong friendships and balanced perspectives that make professional growth both possible and rewarding.

New Lawyers events and activities typically include social events, seminar-type lunch meetings and CLE, as well as community service activities.

All CBA members under the age of 36 or with less than 5 years of law practice are automatically members of the New Lawyers Committee. Like all committees, the officers and staff will communicate with members through email listservs.
