Mission

The mission of the Workers' Compensation Committee of the Columbus Bar Association is
to improve the quality of our bar through the delivery of educational opportunities and the development of improved interactions between the agencies, courts and lawyers with whom
we practice.

A Message from the Workers' Compensation Committee Chair

“A little over ten years ago I served my first term as the Chair and was excited to be asked to help revive a committee that once was one of the largest of the Association. I have spoken with many of you about the Committee and was pleased to hear the interest about getting involved. The mission of our Committee will be to provide you with the education and tools necessary to improve your practices. This includes developing better interactions between our members and with the agencies and courts where we practice. Please feel free to contact me with your ideas for the Committee. I look forward to seeing
all of you in the coming weeks.”

Exclusion from SSI of Certain Military Pay From Deemed Income and Resources

The Social Security Administration is revising its rules to clarify that combat-related military pay will not be considered income when determining whether spouses and children of members of the uniformed services are eligible for SSI.
