Construction Law Committee

Mission

To become THE forum for the development of practical and innovative solutions to legal issues relating to the construction industry by promoting active interchange of experience and ideas for the continued education and improvement of the members of the bar interested in construction law, and by providing information to the central Ohio community to advance professionalism and quality of legal services.

A Message from the Construction Law Committee Chair

“Two major hospitals, a new casino, downtown hotels, at least a dozen condo projects, and several office buildings-all under construction right now in Central Ohio. With all this development, and with the new construction reform laws, new state contract documents, and recent important court decisions, there is a lot going on in the construction industry. Our meetings are a great opportunity to talk about these exciting developments, share experiences, develop friendships, and network. And to keep things fun and interesting, we will even take several field trips to active construction sites for a first-hand look at what fuels our economy. The construction bar in Columbus is a small but talented, well-connected, and fun-loving group of both transactional lawyers and litigators. Some are well-seasoned, some are new to the practice. But everyone shares the same goal: to become better construction lawyers by learning from each other and from those in our industry. Join us, and bring your war stories. Hard hats optional!” -Peter W. Hahn, Attorney at Law
