Electronic Communication Skills for the Legal Assistant

FRIDAY, APRIL 25th - 12:00 noon to 1:00pm at The CBA
Cost: $30 (includes lunch and all materials)

This “Lunch and Learn” program was designed to help legal support staff to communicate more effectively when using email and other electronic media. The primary focus is on the role of those in a law office who are responsible for receiving and sending email, to clients, to attorneys, to courts, and to the public. Legal assistants, office managers, and law office public information officers are encouraged to attend.

Topics include:
  • How email differs from traditional print forms of communication
  • When to use email and when to rely on print communication
  • Examples of effective email – and what to avoid when composing email messages
  • Learn to develop a checklist of things to keep in mind whenever sending or receiving an email message

Instructor:
