Financial Services Committee
Mission
The financial services industry is one of the most important industries to the daily lives of Columbus residents and lawyers. Regulations abound, disputes are regularly filed, and transactions close daily. The laws and regulations can be difficult to navigate and change frequently. This Committee aims to provide a forum for local discussion, education, and networking by, between, and among private practitioners, in-house legal counsel, and governing agencies.
A Message from the Committee Chair:
Thank you for your interest in the Financial Services Committee! The legal and regulatory landscape surrounding financial services grows increasingly complex. Here in Columbus, we are fortunate to have both the seat of the government and a substantial number of companies involved in financial services. In light of those facts, it is (past) time that we create a community at the CBA. I envision this Committee as a forum for discussion, education, and community. I hope to see in-house counsel, government lawyers, and private practitioners at the meetings, presenting to the Committee, and exchanging questions and ideas. We are hitting the ground running, but would very much appreciate your suggestions and feedback along the way. Thanks again and we look forward to seeing you.
