Foundation Registers Trustee Election and Pro Bono Awards

The Columbus Bar Foundation annual meeting and luncheon is set for May 9, noon at the Sheraton on Capitol Square. The agenda for the meeting includes a presentation of the nominating committee’s slate for the election of trustees, and the celebration of awards honoring outstanding pro bono services.

For Trustees: Re-elect to a new three-year term: Michael K. Gire and Robert J. Weiler. Elect to a new three-year term: Kathleen M. Trafford and Karen A. Winters.

The Trustees have elected the following officers for 2014-15: President, Stephen Buchenroth; Vice President, Judge Carrie Glaeden; and Secretary/Treasurer, Thomas Hill.

The Columbus Bar Foundation and Association awards will be presented by Foundation President Robert Meyer and Columbus Bar President Magistrate Mark Petrucci. Award recipients are Barry R. Kiser for Outstanding Pro Bono Service by a Paralegal; Sherrille D. Akin, Outstanding Pro Bono Service by an Individual; Col. Duncan D. Aukland, Outstanding Pro Bono Service by an Individual; Northland Brief Advice Clinic at the Christian Assembly Church, Outstanding Pro Bono Project, the award to be accepted by Ellen Queen.

Columbus Bar President Magistrate Mark Petrucci will present the Community Service Award to John W. Waddy, Jr.
