Bankruptcy Series: Practice Ready Education for Professionals

by Judith M. McInturff

How are you going to spend your Friday lunch hours this winter? Sitting in your office trying to wind down from the week, or getting all the instruction you were never given in law school? Come to the Columbus Bar at noon beginning January 10. Bring lunch, bring your bankruptcy code and settle in for a series of one-hour instruction concentrating on the area of bankruptcy. Question and answer periods will follow.

This 12 week series is designed to give you all the CLE you need, including ethics, and is guaranteed to take you from bankruptcy bare basics to a practice ready level. Including instruction on Best Case software and ECF/ECM, you will be taught exemption planning, defending your client from United States Trustee attack, and effective Chapter 13 plan drafting. This is not a “seminar.” Instructors are law school quality and include Chapter 13 Trustee Jeffrey Norman’s entire legal staff, Assistant United States Trustee Pamela Arndt, and Bar Counsel Bruce Campbell.

Bankruptcy permeates all areas of practice. This series allows purchase of individual classes. Domestic, probate and tort litigators need to know when to identify and how to solve the unique problems that arise as a result of bankruptcy. Instruction on dischargeability and parameters of the automatic stay can be purchased separately for those practitioners. Set yourself apart and learn from the best!

Note: The bankruptcy code itself will be the primary written reference for this course. A pocket edition can be purchased at for $30.00.

Register online for one or all 12 sessions. For more information, call (614) 221-4112.
