Health Care Reform: Supreme Court Decisions Regarding the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act

Date:  Fri, Jul 13, 2012  3:00pm - 4:30pm
Type:  Special Events
Location:  Hyatt Place Columbus/OSU, 795 Yard Street, Columbus, OH 43212

Please join Willis for a complimentary seminar on health care reform.

In March 2012, the U.S. Supreme Court heard oral arguments about four specific issues regarding the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2010. The issues are:

  • whether the legal challenge was timely;
  • whether the individual mandate is constitutional;
  • whether the individual mandate can be severed from the rest of the law; and
  • whether expanded Medicaid coverage is an impermissible mandate on the states.

We will review the implications of the Supreme Court decision as well as next steps in terms of compliance for employer-sponsored health plans.

FEATURED SPEAKER: Jack Towarnicky, JD Employee Benefits Attorney Willis National Legal & Research Group

WHEN: Friday, July 13, 2012
*Please note: If the Supreme Court has not made their decision, this seminar will be moved to August 1.
