Pro Bono Celebration and Reception

Please come to a reception to honor attorneys who have provided pro bono services to low income individuals and families in our community this year, and to meet the new Director at the Legal Aid Society of Columbus, Maria Soto.

Maria Soto was formerly the deputy director for Legal Services of Greater Miami.

Soto earned her law degree from the University Of Iowa College Of Law in 1982 and recently completed a master’s degree in Library and Information Science from the University of Washington in Seattle. The degree came with a certificate in Law Librarianship.

In Miami, Soto served on the Board of Directors of the Girl Scouts and of the Miami Book Fair International.
