Does It Matter Who Tracks Law School Graduation Employment Rates?

Here’s an interesting article outlining a “situation” brewing between NALP and the ABA about the reporting of post-law school employment data. I get where both sides are coming from, and it will certainly be an ineresting issue to follow. However, I would prefer to see more dialogue about WHAT data is being collected and HOW it is being reported - not WHO is collecting it. Everyone has an interest in the data and has a stake in its accuracy (law schools, the ABA, NALP, law grads, employers….the list goes on). At the end of the day, we’re all working toward the same end game: a better profession.

How do you think this issue ought to proceed?
