KATHLEEN M. TRAFFORD, partner in Porter Wright Morris & Arthur, chair of the firm’s appellate practice group, and partner in the litigation department, has been selected as one of the first female litigators named to the new Benchmark Top 250 Women in Litigation guide. The women chosen for and featured in this inaugural edition publication were selected from their respective states' roster of local litigation stars in the 2012 edition of peer-reviewed parent publication, Benchmark Litigation.
More than 1,000 prospective lawyers took the July 2012 Ohio Bar Examination last week at the at Franklin County Veterans Memorial. The bar exam includes 12 essay questions covering 11 topics, the Multistate Performance Test and the Multistate Bar Examination. Results will be announced on October 26, and those who pass the exam and meet all other requirements for admission will be sworn in during a special session of the Ohio Supreme Court at the historic Ohio Theatre on November 5.
SQUIRE SANDERS reported that its Korea practice leader, Joon Yong Kim, has been officially registered as a foreign legal consultant by the Korean Bar Association, which is a critical step toward opening an office in Seoul.
