JENNIFER BLASER has been named managing partner of the Columbus office of Peck Shaffer & Williams, a national public finance law firm. She works with cities, counties, townships and school districts throughout the State of Ohio to finance their capital projects.

DOUGLAS C. BOATRIGHT has joined Mazanec Raskin & Ryder as a partner with extensive experience in insurance defense, administrative law, political subdivision liability, and medical and dental malpractice.

ADAM C. MILLER, attorney, educator and Army veteran, has joined Taft Stettinius & Hollister as a partner in the public law and education litigation practice groups. He focuses on representing public governmental entities, including school districts, educational service centers, vocational school districts and statewide educational associations.

Former Assistant Disciplinary Counsel, ALVIN E. MATHEWS JR., has joined the law firm of James E. Arnold and Associates. Mathews represents lawyers, firms, in-house counsel at major corporations and government lawyers on a variety of ethics and professional responsibility matters.

WELIN O'SHAUGHNESSY and SCHEAF is a new firm in downtown Columbus with practices in business litigation, construction law, and oil and gas litigation. Proposed amendments to Rule X (continuing legal education) of the Supreme Court Rules for the Government of the Bar of Ohio and Rule IV (mandatory continuing legal education for the judiciary) of the Supreme Court Rules for the Government of the Judiciary of Ohio will be published for public comment in the June 11, 2012, Ohio Official Reports advance sheet.
