PECK SHAFFER & WILLIAMS, a public finance law firm, ranked second in the nation among underwriter’s counsel for the first half of 2011, according to data compiled by Thomson Reuters. From January through June, the firm served as underwriter’s counsel on 26 deals worth $4.67 billion.
BRENT D. ROSENTHAL, partner with Carlile Patchen & Murphy, was installed July 1 as 2011-2012 District Governor of Rotary District 6690. The District consists of 59 Rotary Clubs and approximately 3,800 Rotarians in central and southeast Ohio. Rosenthal is a member and Past President of the Rotary Club of Westerville.

The Supreme Court of Ohio has appointed the court administrator for the Hamilton County Juvenile Court as the new clerk for the Court of Claims. MARK H. REED, replaces the recently retired 24-year clerk MILES DURFEY. The Court has original jurisdiction to hear and determine all civil actions filed against the State of Ohio and hears appeals from decisions made by the Attorney General on claims allowed under the Victims of Crime Act. Judges of the Court are assigned by the Chief Justice.
