LISA M. BURLESON has joined Benesch as senior counsel in the public finance and school law practice groups. Her practice areas include labor and employment, special education, litigation, school construction, administrative law, arbitration and mediation.
For the first time in the history of the Ohio Supreme Court, a woman will fill the Reporter of Decisions position. SANDRA HUTH GROSKO replaces Ralph Preston who will retire at the end of the month. Ms Grosko is Case Management Counsel in the Office of the Clerk. Shas been employed at the Supreme Court for more than 16 years.
Proposed amendments to Rule V of the Rules for the Government of Ohio (disciplinary procedures) have been published for public comment in the July 4, 2011 Ohio Official Reports advance sheet.
JACKIE L. HAGER of Carlile Patchen & Murphy has been elected to partnership in the firm.
She concentrates her practice on real estate tax litigation, representing county auditors, boards of education, and property owners before numerous county boards of revision, the Ohio Board of Tax Appeals, Courts of Appeal and the Supreme Court of Ohio.
