CARLA R. DAWKINS, bailiff to Judge Guy L. Reece II, has received the Norma J. Mitchell Award given by the Central Ohio Association for Justice. Carla has served the Franklin County Common Pleas Court for 21 years and had worked with Norma Mitchell for a number of years. The award is given to a professional within the legal community in recognition of outstanding service.
ROGER GILCREST, partner in Intellectual Property Practice Group at Schottenstein Zox & Dunn, has been selected to receive the Ohio Patent Impact Award for 2011 from The Ohio Academy of Science and the Intellectual Property Law Section of the OSBA. Gilcrest receives this award as the patent attorney for the invention of a method and apparatus used in the early detection of disease contributing organisms in water supply reservoirs.
