Carlile Patchen & Murphy has elected attorneys CARL AVENI, DAVID JACKSON and JANE HIGGINS MARX to the partnership of the firm. Mr. Aveni litigates commercial disputes and business torts. Mr. Jackson focuses his practice on general business law and tax planning, particularly for closely-held businesses; and Higgins Marx helps individuals, business owners with estate planning, business and probate needs.

Most recently, Clark Perdue & List and Anapol Schwartz represented more than 800 consumers who suffered heart attacks or strokes after taking Vioxx – Merck’s blockbuster drug that was recalled in 2004.
