DAVID M. SCOTT of LUPER NEIDENTHAL & LOGAN was recently inducted as a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum. Members must have acted as principal counsel in at least once case in which their client has received a verdict, award or settlement in the amount of one million dollars or more. Scott’s practice focuses on civil litigation, representing a broad range of clients from private individuals to multinational corporations.

LAUREL A. BEATTY has recently joined the Ohio Secretary of State’s office as Legislative Counsel.

Kelly practices in the areas of public law, public finance and structured finance, emphasizing local government law and bond financing, particularly economic development finance. JEFFREY ROSEN, a law professor at George Washington University and legal affairs editor of The New Republic, will speak at 7:30 p.m. on Feb. 5 at Ohio Wesleyan University in the Benes Rooms of the Hamilton-Williams Campus Center, 40 Rowland Ave. Rosen, a leading Supreme Court expert, will discuss how personality and rivalry shape the nation’s highest court and, in turn, the nation itself. Rosen’s speech is free and open to the public.

LEESBERG & VALENTINE is pleased to announce that ANNE M. VALENTINE has been appointed Chairperson of the Ohio Supreme Court’s Commission on Rules of Practice and Procedure from January 2007 to December 2008.
