Michele Noble, an associate of Thompson Hine‘s Business Litigation and Product Liability Litigation practice group, has received the Capital University Law School Young Alumnus of the Year Award. Noble received her J.D., summa cum laude, valedictorian from Capital University Law School.
Peter Pavarini, Partner and Chair of the Health Law Department at Schottenstein Zox & dunn, has been elected to serve a three-year term on the American Health Lawyers Association (AHLA) Board of Directors. As the nation’s largest organization devoted to legal issues in the healthcare field, the AHLA provides resources to address the issues facing attorneys who practice throughout the entire spectrum of the health industry.
Thomas E. O’Connor Jr. has been selected to chair the Intellectual Property Section for the Ohio State Bar Association. His term is effective July 1. O’Connor is a member of McNees Wallace & Nurick and practices in the firm’s Intellectual Property Group. O’Connor is a University of Michigan Law School graduate
The Women Lawyers of Franklin County will hold its Annual Meeting and Silent Auction on May 17, to raise money for law school scholarships awarded annually to deserving students from The Ohio State University Law School and Capital University Law Center based on contributions to the community, financial need, and dedication to the advancement of women in the law. The event will feature gourmet cuisine and unique auction items, with the festivities beginning at 11:30am at Squire Sanders & Dempsey. To make your reservation, contact Aneca Lasley (614/365.2830). Also on the agenda is an important vote on a proposal offered by the Columbus Bar Association to provide administrative support to the Women Lawyers of Franklin County.
