Incubator Grads Make Firm Commitment

As Columbus Bar inc prepares to welcome new attorneys, we congratulate two participants who recently started a new firm. Shannon Dawes and Kelly Parks recently opened the doors of Dawes & Parks LLC. The two are graduates of Capital Law and started collaborating while in the program. In addition to co-counseling on cases, Shannon and Kelly held regular meetings to develop a joint business plan that allowed them to launch a partnership on January 2, 2013.

When asked how participating in Columbus Bar inc impacted their careers, the two said they are “very grateful for our experience in the incubator program. It gave us the opportunity to learn about ourselves as attorneys and each other as business partners. We are excited about starting down this new path, and we have inc to thank for our success.” Due to their success as partners, the two were able to extend an offer to another young attorney to join their firm as an associate. Christine Kurilic is a native of Sandusky, Ohio and Kelly’s former classmate.

We congratulate Dawes & Parks on their new venture and wish them the best for future success. If you are interested in contributing to the development of Columbus Bar inc and its participants, contact Jocelyn Armstrong at Jocelyn@cbalaw.org or 614/340.2030.
