Eleven Scholarships Ready for Diverse Law Students
One of the best practices for diversity and inclusion is to support the pipeline that develops new attorneys and seven firms have accepted that challenge in a major way. Baker & Hostetler, Bricker & Eckler, Dinsmore & Shohl, Jones Day, Kegler Brown Hill & Ritter, Squire Sanders and Vorys Sater Seymour and Pease, all signatories of the Columbus Bar’s Managing Partners Diversity Initiative, offer nearly $100,000 in scholarships or fellowships to minority law students.
Most of these opportunities include work as a condition of the scholarship, which usually means a summer clerkship in addition to a cash award. An overview of each award can be found on the Columbus Bar website diversity pages.
Full details for application should be directed to the specific firm of interest. Questions about the Managing Partners Diversity Initiatve? Contact Annette Hudson at 614/340.2033 or annette@cbalaw.org.
