All About Dodd-Frank and CFPB
Dodd-Frank & Consumer Financial Protection Bureau
October 16, 2012 (9:00am-12:15pm)
3.0 CLE Hours
The Dodd-Frank Act is the most significant comprehensive financial regulatory measure taken since the Glass-Steagall Act during the Great Depression.
Dodd-Frank established an independenent bureau, Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, within the Federal Reserve System to regulate consumer financial products and services. The CFPB is designed to implement and enforce federal law to ensure that all consumers have access to fair, transparent and competitive consumer financial products and services.
In an effort to provide insight into the complexity of the Act, Anthony M. Sharett (Bricker & Eckler) has organized a 3.0 hour CLE to be held October 16. He will be joined by Bridgette C. Roman (Community Choice) and Elizabeth L. Anstaett (Dreher Tomkies Scheiderer) for this CLE Easy Pass eligible program covering an overview of the Dodd-Frank Act, and the experience and enforcement actions of the CFPB.
