Update for Election Law 2012

Another presidential election cycle is upon us. With it comes a renewed interest in the rules, procedures, and laws at play in ballot issues, campaign financing, and lobbying. Some say that every four years Columbus, Ohio, becomes the center of the political universe.

On October 5, the Columbus Bar will be the place to get your guide to elements of 2012 election law. Organized by the Government Agencies Committee Chair, Representative Michael Stinziano, and past Chair Gary Tober, Associate Counsel for COTA, our Election Law 2012 Update seminar begins at 1:30pm.

The program features expert faculty Mark A. McGinnis and Donald J. McTigue of McTigue & McGinnis; Professor Bradley A. Smith (Josiah H. Blackmore II/Shirley M. Nault Designated Professor of Law) Capital Law School; and Ohio State Representative Michael Stinziano. Topics will include lobbying and ethics, litigating election law cases, Citizens United and campaign finance, and state ballot issues.
