Appealing E-Filing Training Sessions
The Columbus Bar is partnering with the Franklin County Clerk of Courts for the next round of CLE training sessions regarding the new E-Filing system at the courthouse. This series, focused on filings with the Appeals Division, will include one-hour sessions on October 1, October 16 and October 17 at the Columbus Bar.
Attendees will learn how to file pleadings electronically in all types of Appellate cases in the Tenth District Court of Appeals. The comprehensive training will include an overview of the technology and the rules for E-Filing as well as how to file a new case on appeal from the Court of Common Pleas, an original action and subsequent pleadings. Tracking pleadings as they move through the system, payment options and requirements will also be covered.
In addition to the step-by-step presentation given by a Clerk of Courts subject matter expert, Christopher Kopech, Business Operations Specialist; Rindy Marcum, Manager of Court of Appeals (Franklin County Clerk of Courts); and Douglas W. Eaton, Deputy Court Administrator, Tenth District Court of Appeals, will be on hand to give technical and legal details about E-Filing, as well as to answer any questions about the system and its use.
