What's Up and Coming Soon?
During September, CLE will kick off the fall season with several high-powered programs including two of the Masters Series: Employment Law and Business Law (Energy); the Chester Institute: A New Day at the Courthouse; and an enlightening program on the new Supreme Court Rule 88 regarding use of interpreters.
The month will close out with the 3.0 CLE hour program, “Receivership Basics and Standard Practices in Central Ohio.” Organized by Richard Kruse, Gryphon Asset Management, this seminar will cover the various perspectives of different parties including creditor, receiver, judicial and title/closing agent as well as standards and practices expected in operating and liquidating receiverships. Kruse will be joined by presenters Judge Michael J. Holbrook, Franklin County Common Pleas; Jerry E. Peer Jr., Peterson Ellis Fergus & Peer; and William C. Heer III, First American Title Insurance Company. Topics will include an overview of receiverships, review of the statute and Local Rule 66, foreclosure and business dispute receiverships as well as real estate title issues in receiver sales.
