On Mediation of Insurance Disputes

At the Columbus Bar ADR Committee meeting on Friday, September 14, Crystal Richie will discuss the use of mediation to resolve insurance disputes. She will explore the benefits of using mediation as well as the dynamics between and among the mediator, policyholder and insurance counsel. Also, she will discuss how mediators can successfully deal with counsel and insurance adjusters.

Chrystal, now with James E. Arnold and Associates, has been House Counsel at Grange Insurance where she represented the company and its insureds throughout Ohio; and lead counsel/managing counsel at Nationwide Insurance where she managed bad faith litigation and outside counsel in Florida.
