Your Pass for Free CLE
There are only a couple of days left to purchase your “Pass” for free CLE.
At a nominal fee of $125, the CLE Easy Pass at the Columbus Bar entitles a member to 12 hours of CLE. Once the pass is used for 3 hours, the remaining 9 hours are virtually free. Per CBA standards, that is a savings of about $360.
Compared to other CLE providers, the savings is even greater, as CBA pricing is highly competitive, and oftentimes lower than others. This is one of those situations where you get more than what you pay for, not only in terms of hours of classes, but also as it relates to the programs themselves.
During the 2011/2012 membership year, the Columbus Bar offered 165 live programs, providing over 598 hours of CLE, and 361 hours were CLE Easy Pass eligible.
Upcoming eligible programs include Masters Series seminars at 6.0 CLE hours each: Employment Law (September 18); Business Law - Energy (September 25); and Health Care Law (October 19). The 3.0 hour Lawyers in Literature and Cinema program (November 28) will also provide the annual requirements of professionalism, ethics and substance abuse.
Other CLE Easy Pass eligible programs are being added to the schedule regularly. Topics covered will include courtroom confidence, New Supreme Court Rule 88, receiverships, valuing healthcare transactions and agreements, GAL, election law, consumer financial protection, social security, gambling, UCC’s, construction law, new lawyer training and much more.
