Diversity Initiative Welcomes New Members
Frost Brown Todd and Region Ten of the Hispanic National Bar Association are the newest members of the Columbus Bar’s Managing Partners Diversity Initiative (MPDI). They have joined twenty-eight other Central Ohio law firms, law schools, minority bar associations and government offices by signing a five-year commitment to increase retention and recruitment of attorneys of color.
The MPDI is in its eleventh year and has seen a 74% increase of minority attorneys in the law firms since the beginning in 2001. The charge as identified by Kurt Tunnell, managing partner at Bricker & Eckler and chair of the diversity advisory committee: “Each of our firms and organizations needs to challenge itself on how we can redouble our efforts to attract and retain diverse attorneys and find new ways to encourage inclusion at all levels.”
