Bar to Honor Members at Annual Meeting

Members of the Columbus Bar will meet on Friday, June 15 at noon, for the 2012 Annual Meeting, the installation of new officers and board members, and the presentation of the Bar Service Medal, the Professionalism Award and the 2012 Awards of Excellence.

Vicki L. Jenkins will be honored with the Bar Service Medal for her long history of distinguished service to the bar and Kathleen H. Ransier will receive the Professionalism Award for her exceptional dedication to the standards of the profession and for demonstrated integrity. Jenkins and Ransier join a long list of distinguished recipients of the Bar Service Medal and Professionalism Award.

In addition, for the first time, the Bar will present the Awards of Excellence at the Annual Meeting. The Awards of Excellence include: The Liberty Bell, Community Service Award and the Award of Merit.

The 2012 Liberty Bell Award will go to the Hon. Richard A. Frye, Hon. Charles A. Schneider, Hon. Guy L. Reece II, and Atiba Jones for their collective efforts on the new Franklin County Common Pleas Courthouse.

Nancy H. Rogers will receive the Community Service Award for her substantial contribution of time and effort in service to the central Ohio community.

Finally, former Columbus Bar Executive Director, Alexander Lagusch will be honored with the Award of Merit for his service of individuals in the administration of justice.
