Invent Your Future

~ written by Chris Hogan, Newhouse Prophater Letcher & Moots

It's been said that the best way to predict the future is to invent it. To be sure, that’s always been much easier said than done – until now. The Columbus Bar’s Future of the Legal Profession Committee (FLPC) will provide you with important insights and the cutting edge information that will allow you to get ahead of the curve and shape the arc of the practice. As the Columbus Bar’s first “virtual” committee, the FLPC will focus on internal and external threats, technology, the changing economy and any subject that may have a significant impact on the legal community.

This FPLC will exist primarily in the electronic ether we call cyberspace, taking advantage of LinkedIn, Twitter and other social media outlets to share information about the challenges facing lawyers. Our page on the CBA website will serve as a one-stop shop for the latest information concerning our profession’s future, with live Twitter feeds and links to pertinent blogs. The FPLC will even have its own Twitter feed at @Law2morrow.

Do something today that will better position you for success tomorrow. Join the FLPC. To sign up, log onto the Columbus Bar website and visit the Future of the Legal Profession committee page or email Donna Sweet at donna@cbalaw.org.
