International Committee Forecasts Attracting Foreign Business to Ohio
~ written by Christina Hultsch, Chair, International Committee
The International Law committee will meet for its inaugural session on March 28, noon until 1:00pm. As the new chair of the committee, I extend a warm welcome to anyone with an interest in international law, and an invitation to join the committee slated to meet the fourth Wednesday of the month through May, break for the summer and resume in September.
We will start out on March 28 with one of my favorite topics: "The Revitalization of manufacturing in the Midwest - Attracting foreign companies to Ohio." International clients rely heavily on the ability of counsel to explain the differences in legal systems as well as in culture. The variety and range of questions resulting from this reliance guarantee continued excitement and make a career in international law largely appealing. I envision the International Law Committee not only as a great resource for Central Ohio practitioners, a first point of reference for research questions, but also as an educational tool for law students who may consider entering the international arena.
