Bankruptcy Institute Hosts Judicial Presenters
Nine judges are on board to present at the Bankruptcy Law Institute, May 10 and 11.
From the United States Bankruptcy Court, Southern District of Ohio, Chief Judge Charles M. Caldwell; Judge John E. Hoffman, Jr., and Judge C. Kathryn Preston. Also from the Southern District (Dayton), Judge Guy R. Humphrey; and Judge Russ Kendig, U.S. Bankruptcy Court, Northern District of Ohio.
The roster includes Judge R. Guy Cole, Jr., United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit; Judge Edmund A. Sargus, U.S. District Court, Southern District of Ohio; and Judge William A. Klatt, Court of Appeals for the Tenth District.
Also, on the program is Judge Pamela Pepper, U.S. Bankruptcy, Eastern District of Wisconsin.
Presenters will be joined by Jeffrey P. Norman, Chapter 13 Trustee, Southern District of Ohio, Eastern Division, and other notable practitioners.
Some of the topics covered will include Stern v. Marshall, commercial receiverships, family law issues, dischargeability of student loans, appeals, evidentiary issues in debtor mortgage litigation, local and national case law updates; and ethics, professionalism and substance abuse.
