Tax Planning for Exiting Partnerships
The Business Tax Committee’s Taxing Matters Series continues with a February 8 presentation on ”Tax Planning for Exiting Partnerships; Sales of Partnership Interests and Distributions from Partnerships.” Richard Holz, a partner at Ice Miller, is the presenter.
The one-hour program, unique to limited liability companies and partnerships, is a review of federal income tax rules that practitioners should know when advising either partners selling partnership interests or partnerships distributing property, including a discussion of tax traps relating to “hot assets.”
As a part of the Taxing Matters Series, attorney attendees who register are eligible for 1.0 hour of CLE credit. and members of the Business Tax Committee may audit this presentation.
