Court Adopts Traffic Rule Amendment
The Supreme Court has adopted an amendment to the Ohio Traffic Rules, clarifying the authority of traffic violations bureaus. The addition to Rule 13(B)(4) states that driving while under suspension or revocation of a driver’s or commercial driver’s license cannot be processed by a traffic violations bureau “when jail is a possible penalty.” The Commission on the Rules of Practice and Procedure recommended the change, effective February 1.
