CBA@noon Kicks Off 2012 Season
The first session of the 2012 CBA@Noon series is set for Tuesday, January 24, noon to 1:00pm. The program will focus on "Blogging Basics for Attorneys", teaching attendees how to rank higher in search engines and in the minds of clients with a practice-area blog. Everyone will learn simple tactics to grow their practice with a thought-leadership blog. The presentation will be made by Sara Smith from Gut Check Analytics.
The second session will be held on February 14, and speaker Douglas Davidson will discuss "Living Securely in a Digital World." As the world grows increasingly connected, your personal information becomes easier to access. If left unsecured, any Internet transactions can be monitored, including personal photos, and credit card and identification numbers. What are your risks in today’s digital world? Risks go beyond viruses to include virtual risks to your reputation and livelihood as well as real risks to your property. Yet, we can’t just tune out, lock down, shut off and be OK. You'll walk away from this session with tactics to maintain privacy and techniques to maintain security.
CBA@Noon sessions are free to Columbus Bar members, however, reservations are requested so we can be sure to have space for all attendees. To register, contact Donna Sweet at donna@cbalaw.org at least one week in advance. Lunches are available for $8, or bring a brown bag. If you wish to purchase a lunch, please indicate at the time you register.
