Meet Matthew L. Finnegan, ColumbusLawyerFinder.com

Matthew L. Finnegan (view ColumbusLawyerFinder.com profile)

Why did you decide to become an attorney?
I like fighting for the underdog and standing up for the "little guy" against the system. I want to see my client get justice and fairness. Being a lawyer is how I can make that happen.

What experiences (work and personal) help you to be a better attorney?
When I was a Hearing Officer, I always made sure that injured people were treated fairly and received justice no matter what kind of big money and high paid lawyers were on the other side. I always explained to injured workers what was going on in their claim and what was going to happen to them. I treat my clients the same way now. Clients can call me any time for any reason for free. I always explain everything so the client knows what is happening, and I call if there are any changes to a claim.

What makes your law firm unique?
I always completely answer any questions about everything that is going on in a client’s claim. There is never any charge for talking to me at any time for any reason.

Describe your ideal client.
My ideal client is one who needs help with a Workers' Compensation or Social Security Disability claim. I am here to make the system work for my client.

Describe your personal interests and hobbies.
I help coach my son's 6th grade football and basketball teams at Immaculate Conception School. I also enjoy attending and helping out with my other children's sporting activities including those of my teenage son, who plays football for Whetstone High School, and my daughter who swims for the University of Arizona.

Describe your charitable activities.
I assist with charitable activities through the Knights of Columbus and my parish, Immaculate Conception.
