Nominations Open for McCormac Award
Capital University Law School Paralegal Programs, the Columbus Bar, and Project Lawyers established an award honoring Judge John W. McCormac for his years of dedicated public service and significant contributions to the paralegal profession. It was his keen insight into the delivery of legal services that led to the founding of Capital’s Paralegal Program in 1972.
We are now seeking nominations for candidate of the 2011 award. The recipient will be honored at the December 14, Ninth Annual McCormac Award Reception at the Columbus Bar. Review the following criteria and take a moment to consider an individual who has made a significant contribution to the paralegal profession. Then submit a short paragraph or two describing their contributions rendering them as a worthy recipient.
Award Criteria: Outstanding Service to the Paralegal Profession (1) Length of involvement with the paralegal profession; (2) Support of paralegal educational efforts; (3) Efforts to increase the credibility and status of the profession; (4) Service to the legal community and professional organizations. Submit nominations to Donna Schoebel via fax (614-236-6958) or email (dschoebel@law.capital.edu) on or before November 16. Special thanks to Project Lawyers for financially supporting this unique award and event.
