Meet Tamie I. Snyder, ColumbusLawyerFinder.com

Tamie I. Snyder (view ColumbusLawyerFinder.com profile)
Why did you decide to become an attorney?
I had been out of college for several years and had become very dissatisfied with my employment. I began to feel that employers had too much power and control over their employees. I wanted to have more control over my life and help others to do the same.
What experiences (work and personal) help you to be a better attorney?
My first three years in college were focused on receiving an engineering degree. I loved math and took a lot of it. However, I wanted a more personal education. I graduated from Ohio State University with a degree in social work. This education has prepared me for the balance Family Law and Bankruptcy provides. I am also a married working mother of two. I understand the emotional and financial difficulties and stressors found in a marriage and in raising children.
What makes your law firm unique?
I have a small practice and I personally handle the majority of the case. As a client, you will have a lot of direct contact with me.
Describe your personal interests and hobbies.
I love to cook but I hate to clean up. I think the best invention is the Kindle and I carry it with me everywhere which translates into a love of reading. I am active in my children's education and extracurricular. I try to make exercise a hobby but fail miserably.
