Forthcoming Foreclosure Seminar

Business Law and Foreclosure, a 6.0 Hour CLE, is on schedule for September 30 with a roster of expert presenters covering a number of essential topics. Chairman Gregory Travalio, Isaac Brant Ledman & Teetor, and the CLE Program Development Task Force organized this Masters Series, eligible for CLE Easy Pass.

Jeffrey T. Ferriell, Capital University Law School, will cover the present state of the law of foreclosures, followed by Douglas L. Rogers, Attorney at Law, and a representative from the Consumer Advocacy Dept. (Save the Dream) Ohio Housing Finance Agency, discussing the effects of foreclosure on homeowners, the real estate market and the broader economy. Susan Choe, Attorney General’s Office, will give a view from the public sector and Gail C. Hersh Jr., Manley Deas Kochalski, will present the perspective of lenders.

Matthew J. Richardson, Manley Deas & Kochalski; and Doug Rogers, will discuss the Secondary Market and Foreclosure, followed by Richard T. Craven, Sikora Law, who will present on Foreclosure and Title Insurers. Edward J. Boll III, Lerner Sampson & Rothfuss; William B. Logan Jr., Luper Neidenthal & Logan, and Frederick L. Ransier III, Vorys Sater Seymour and Pease, will team up to cover foreclosure and bankruptcy.

A view from the bench will be provided by Judges John F. Bender, John P. Bessey, and Patrick E. Sheeran, all from the Franklin County Court of Common Pleas. The day will end with a look forward provided by Doug Rogers; Jeffrey Ferriell; and Kevin Williams, Manley Deas & Kochalski.
