Tax Considerations of Buy/Sell Agreements
Sponsored by the Business Tax Committee, the Taxing Matters Series is gearing up for the 2011-2012 season. 1.0 CLE hour series installments take place the second Wednesday of each month from September through November 2011. September 14th from 12:15pm-1:15pm the topic of Tax Considerations of Buy/Sell Agreements will be discussed by Bruce D. Bernard, Esq., Bernard Law LLC and Courtney Sparks White, Yankovich Adelman Johnson Stevenson, LLC. Areas to be covered include:
Structure and Tax Consequences of C corporations, Flow-through entities and Tax deductible ‘buyout’ payments; Business Valuation in Estate planning and setting value, Pricing Mechanisms - Advantages, Disadvantages and Recommendations, and Clearly defining the Standard of Value and the Level of Value, as well as Treatment of Life Insurance Proceeds in Valuation.
As a part of the Taxing Matters Series, attorney attendees who register may be eligible for up to 1.0 hour of CLE credit, and members of the Business Tax Committee may audit this presentation.
